Claude ex Machina is a conceptual digital sculpture inspired by bust of Claude Shannon and his foundations of information theory. The fractured bust reveals an imagined inner world built from binary systems, mechanical structures, communication technologies, and Shannon’s maze-solving mouse. By transforming the interior of the portrait into a miniature information machine, the work reflects on the relationship between human thought, computation, and the technological systems that emerged from Shannon’s ideas.
