BitsExplorer is an index of work people have built with AI and published. This page says what it holds about people, why, and how to have it deleted. Last updated 13 September 2026.

Who is responsible

BitsExplorer. The way to reach us about anything on this page is the form on the removal and reports page.

If you just visit

• No cookies are set, and there is no advertising and no tracking across sites.
• Visits are counted without cookies. To tell one visitor from another within a day, a code is made from a random value that changes every day, your network address and your browser's name. When the day is over, the codes and that value are deleted, and only totals remain: how many visitors, which pages were viewed, and the name of the site that linked here, such as facebook.com.
• The web server keeps ordinary request logs: the network address, the page asked for and the time. They are used to keep the site running and secure.
• The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which handles the connection between your browser and our server.
• The Spin page remembers the last few results in your own browser, so it does not show you the same thing twice. That stays on your device.

If your work is listed here

BitsExplorer lists work that has already been published publicly. For each item it keeps what the platform shows publicly: the title, a short description, the creator's name and profile link as the platform shows them, a picture of the work, and the text visible on its page, used to describe and classify it. This is done because an index of what is being built is useful to the people who look for it, and it only ever concerns work its creator chose to publish. You can have it removed at any time; see below.

If you sign up for the daily digest

Your email address, the network address the signup came from, and the dates you signed up, confirmed and unsubscribed. Nothing is sent until you confirm. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Thirty days after you unsubscribe, your address is deleted, and a signup that is never confirmed is deleted after seven days. Ask with the form and it goes sooner.

If you send us a request

What you type into the form: what it is about, the address concerned, your message and, if you give it, how to reach you. Your network address is not stored with it. It is read only by the people who run BitsExplorer and used only to handle the request.

If you help run the site

Moderators have an account with their email address, name and passkey. Signing in records the network address and browser, and actions taken in the admin panel are logged with the network address, so that what was changed and by whom can always be traced.

Our Facebook Page and other accounts

BitsExplorer posts each day's picks to its own accounts on Facebook, Bluesky and Mastodon, and sends internal notices to a private chat channel. The Facebook app only publishes posts to the BitsExplorer Page. It does not sign anyone in and collects no information about people who use Facebook. If you interact with those accounts, the platform's own privacy policy applies to that.

Where it is kept, and for how long

• On BitsExplorer's own server in the European Union.
• A backup is made every night and each is kept for 30 days.
• Listings stay until they are removed; digest signups until thirty days after you unsubscribe, or seven days if never confirmed; requests for as long as needed to show they were handled.
• Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared except with the services named on this page, for the purposes given.

Having your data deleted

Send the form on the removal and reports page:

• Your work listed here: choose "Remove my work" and follow the steps on that page to show it is yours. It is deleted with its pictures and page text, and not added again.
• Your digest signup, a request you sent, or anything else: choose "Something else" and say what should be deleted and how to recognise it, for example the email address.
• Facebook: the BitsExplorer Facebook app holds no data about Facebook users, so there is nothing to delete there.

Deleted data leaves the nightly backups as they age out, within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask what BitsExplorer holds about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used, using the same form. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
